While the University is committed to supporting all graduate and professional students, we recognize that international students face unique challenges in the pursuit of their education. As part of the University’s commitment to a diverse and inclusive environment and to the well-being of every student, we will continue to do everything we can to support our international students and create an environment in which everyone is respected. The Office of International Services stands ready to provide guidance and advice.

English Language Institute

Since 1964, the English Language Institute (ELI) at the University of Pittsburgh has been teaching English as a second language courses for international students with a variety of language needs. The ELI has a rich assortment of courses to help students reach their educational goals.

PittGlobal

This PittGlobal student platform is your one-stop-shop to integrate the curricular achievements with study abroad, civic and  global engagement and professional development opportunities. The online tools will help you access all UCIS academic programs, study abroad, international events and activities, advisors and your peers.

University Center for International Studies

The University Center for International Studies (UCIS) is the University of Pittsburgh's organization that encompasses centers for area studies and centers on topical specializations in international studies, with a total of 16 component and affiliated units. Its mission is to integrate and reinforce all the strands of international scholarship in the University in research, teaching and public service.
